Arco Arena
ARCO Arena is the top venue for sports, entertainment and special events in the Greater Sacramento area. With over 200 spectator events each year, ARCO Arena is one of the busiest buildings of its kind in the United States.
More than 2 million fans from around Northern and Central California visited ARCO Arena last year for events ranging from NBA basketball to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. ARCO has hosted such world-famous acts as the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Garth Brooks, and a growing role call of today's biggest names in entertainment.
The $40 million, 442,000 square-foot arena opened in 1988 and was built without taxpayer money. The current configuration seats up to 17,317 and is versatile enough to host anything from ice shows to monster trucks. ARCO Arena is home to the Sacramento Kings of the NBA and the WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs. ARCO Arena has twice been host to the NCAA Western Regional Men's Basketball Tournament.
