About the Aspen Music Festival



The Aspen Music Festival invites over 800 talented young musicians to make nine weeks of music between June and August. First held in 1949, the festival rapidly became one of the jewels of America's classical music summer calendar. A plethora of fantastic concerts take place throughout the summer in three different halls, and the opera house in town. If you are heading to Colorado during the summer months, there will always be something worth hearing at Aspen, especially the free Aspen Music Festival Band concert on Independence Day night, 4 July.
