Atlanta Dragway
Atlanta Dragway has two race programs for drag racing enthusiasts. We also host many special events throughout the season.
The "Power Hour" is a special Grudge Match racing opportunity held between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM on Fast Fridays for Street-Legal racers. Essentially a free-form match race between pairs of drivers who want to challenge each other for bragging rights, the event also offers $50.00 Gift Certificates from Year One in Braselton for Lowest Elapsed Time, Fastest Speed in the quarter-mile, and Best Reaction Time during the "Power Hour".
The Hayes Sport Compact Challenge is a 10-race series on Friday nights, which is designed to give drivers of street-legal Imports and American sport compact cars an organized opportunity to race.
The NHRA Summit Racing Series features a bracket racing format, allowing drivers in many types of cars including dragsters, roadsters, sedans, and coupes, to compete on an equal basis against each other. In addition to the four categories of competition for cars, two classes of Junior Dragsters are featured for eligible children ages 8-17 years.
NHRA Summit Racing Series racers compete for points and cash awards in a number of qualifying events at 140 NHRA member tracks throughout North America. Drivers who gain the most points are eligible to compete for individual and team honors at the Summit Racing NHRA Division E.T. Finals in each of NHRA's seven divisions. Individual division winners receive a division trophy and travel expenses to attend the Summit Racing NHRA National E.T. Finals, where they compete for a national championship, $5,000, a national champion's trophy, and bragging rights for the year.
