About the Calaveras County Jumping Frog Jubilee
Made famous by Mark Twain's "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County", the Jumping Frog Jubilee is celebrated annually at the Calaveras County Fair in Angels Camp, California during the 3rd weekend in May. Thousands of frog jump contestants from all over the world give this event a unique international acclaim. There are live concerts, rodeos, midway rides, country crafts, art exhibits, lots of food, and more. The world record Frog Jump was set in May, 1986, by "Rosie the Ribiter" with an impressive 21 feet, 5 3/4 inches.
