About the Lumberjack World Champions Festival
In the little town of Hayward in scenic northern Wisconsin, more than 12,000 spectators come to watch over 200 skilled lumberjacks and lumberjills compete for over $50,000 in prizes over a 3-day event, beginning Friday of the last weekend in July. There is a variety of competitive logging events including chopping and sawing of various styles, boom running, log rolling, log jousting, ax throwing, and tree-climbing attracting competitors from the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. It's all presented in a show format with fun and excitement for the entire family.
