Philosophy
This is the vision of Pasadena City College: It believes in excellence in education in an academic environment promoting equity and responsible individual citizenship, and it believes in educating students for lifelong learning within a changing technological and culturally diverse society. Pasadena City College further believes in education from a global perspective with a commitment to multicultural sensitivity and acceptance of individual student differences. It also believes in the importance of flexibility to adapt to students' changing needs.

Mission
The mission of Pasadena City College is successful student learning. The College provides high-quality, academically rigorous instruction in a comprehensive transfer and vocational curriculum, as well as learning activities designed to improve the economic condition and quality of life of the diverse communities within the College service area.
