RCA Dome The Indiana Convention Center & RCA Dome has been an integral part of the city since the original exposition center opened in 1972. The building expanded its exhibit space and meeting room space and added the RCA Dome (originally named the Hoosier Dome) in 1984.
Demand for increased space brought about the Phase III expansion in 1993. The convention center was renovated and meeting space was added again. The Sagamore Ballroom, the largest in the state of Indiana, also opened at this time.
