Reunion Arena began operation on April 28, 1980 and premiered with a performance by Parliament and the Funkadelics on May 9, 1980. With a 19,000-seat capacity and numerous amenities, Reunion Arena is one of the highest quality indoor venues in the sports and entertainment industries. The facility hosts numerous events with its multiple use floor, including most major touring concerts, ice shows, family shows, circuses and motor sports. With its state-of-the-art design and technology, Reunion Arena has played host to many national and international competitions as well as other major media events.
