University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, also known as UIUC and the UOFL (the officially preferred abbreviation), is a highly ranked engineering school and research campus of the University of Illinois; the campus is divided almost exactly between the cities of Urbana and Champaign.

The university is composed of 16 colleges and institutes that offer more than 150 programs of study. There are approximately 28,000 undergraduates and 10,000 graduate students at Urbana-Champaign.

UIUC is the site of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, which created the first graphical Web browser, Mosaic. The University also has the third largest academic library in the country.

It also hosts the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship's missions conference, Urbana, every three years.

UIUC's sports teams, nicknamed the
Fighting Illini, compete in Division I (I-A for football) as a member of the Big Ten Conference.
