The University of Toledo is one of the nations Research I accredited schools. With virtually any major that a student could want, Toledo makes a great choice for many students wanting an affordable and quality public education. The university is nationally known for its pharmacy and engineering programs, and all of its programs in the college of Arts and Science achieve a level of national success. Situated in a suburban setting, the campus has been named one of the most beautifully landscaped in the nation. Many of Toledo's sports teams vie each year for the Mid American Conference championship, and the football team has been ranked nationally many different years. Students also have many choices for extra curricular activities in the forms of Greek organizations, and many student run clubs and societies.
